John 20 - Perpetual peace from the Prince of Peace

John 20
Perpetual peace from the Prince of Peace
Just picture Mary at the tomb weeping and grieving about the where about of her Lord and Master. Not even heavenly words from angels (v12-13) could stop her anguish. Then comes a familiar voice “Mary” and peace replaced pain and sadness; joy and excitement replaced grieve.

John 19:28-42
The joy of finishing (achieving life’s goals)
When the Lord knew that He had completed His earthly assignment, he bowed His head and gave up His Spirit. The Lord had no doubt whatsoever about why He came. He pursued it with all that was in Him. No wonder He exclaimed “it is finished!”(v30) Angels would have clapped in Heaven as their Master crossed the finishing line. Even the Lord was looking forward to the restoration of His glory with the Father (John 17v5).

John 13
Serving in the light of knowledge
At various times Jesus drew his disciples’ attention to the condition under which He was serving them.Often he would say “even though I am your teacher, your master and your Lord, I am in your midst as one who serves.”(Lk 22 v27). John 11 - Why miracles still happen
18th April
John 11
Why miracles still happen
A miracle is always a statement that the supernatural still intervenes in the natural to restore normalcy, to restore any abnormal situations to their natural state – the state they were made to be! This is as applicable to when blind eyes regain their sight as to when a dead rotten man walks out of a tomb at the command of the Supernatural.
John 8:31-59 - Understanding freedom

John 8v31-59
Understanding freedom
What a tragedy that most of us go through life believing and operating on the premises that freedom is the absence of controls and yet the scriptures point to the fact that freedom is not the absence of controls but more on who or what controls us! The fact is man was created for a purpose, to reflect the glory of God and like all created things they enjoy freedom as they fulfill the purpose for which they were created. Think of what happens to the satellite that is out of orbit and one would appreciate what happens to a life that is out of alignment with the purpose for which it was created! Peter stated this fact another way. He observed that man is a slave to whatever controls him (2 Peter 2v19). It follows that man is under some sort of slavery or the other - slavery to the past, to work, to food, tradition, good works, church, etc.
